About the Building

Located at 230 Central Park South, Southmoor House was designed by Jacob M. Felsen and renovated by Parkview Developers in 2004. This 17-story building is a fine example of Manhattan’s understated Art Deco architecture. A 2010 renovation renewed its limestone base, entrance marquee, and sidewalk landscaping, as well as a new, marble facade. Southmoor House is a fantastic example of Manhattan’s pre-war high-rise buildings, often considered to be one of the most distinguished examples of the “artist studio”
